You were waiting for it, here it is. In mid-September, more than 250 crews are expected on the roads of Aube for the 21st edition of the 48 Heures Européennes d’Automobiles Anciennes de Troyes. The 2024 edition will once again take place over three days with some new features.
Which cars for the 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024 ?
This is one of the new features. In addition to classic cars, the 2024 edition opens up even more to Youngtimers but also to exceptional vehicles and modern supercars. These cars will also have their own route, so everyone will drive at their own pace. A great moment of intergenerational sharing on the program!
Classic cars from the post-war period will still represent the bulk of the contingent of entrants. Note that the 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024 is once again taking a step towards the oldest, pre-war, by offering a 15% reduction in entry fees for cars and motorcycles from before 1940.
A prestigious godparent
Have you noticed the magnificent Bugatti Type 57 Atalante on the poster for the 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024? Well, the Alsatian brand will not only be represented with cars!
The 21st edition of the 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes will indeed have Michel Bugatti, son of Ettore Bugatti, the founder of the brand, as godparent! We will talk to you about it again soon.
The 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024 program
21st edition, okay, but the 48 Heures are innovating again this year and offering real new features in the program.
Exact times and locations to view the cars will be announced later.
The program may also be subject to change depending on possible constraints in the organization of the 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024.
A Friday to get together
The event will begin on Friday September 13, 2024. Participants will be welcomed by 48 Heures volunteers, in Troyes, from 2 p.m.
The afternoon will be free for the crews to visit the city while their cars will be on display around the city.
At 7 p.m., participants will meet in the lounges of the Troyes Town Hall for a welcome reception, obviously with Champagnes from our partners, a local drink if ever there was one.
The evening will then be free and the crews will be able to dine in restaurants in the city center.
A riding Saturday
The 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024 will be no exception to the rule. The crews will be invited in the morning to set off on different rallies, adapted according to their car. They will then set off on the roads of the department, roadbook in hand, to discover the treasures of Aube. The architectural and heritage riches of the department will be on the program.
The novelty of these 48 Hours Automobiles of Troyes 2024 is that the crews will meet at meal time! One and the same place, the Château des Riceys will receive all the participants for lunch.
Then the crews will return to Troyes.
This Saturday day will end with the traditional gala evening at the Espace Argence, in downtown Troyes.
A sharing Sunday
Sunday will start again with a morning car ride around Troyes, with a new roadbook.
Then the participants of the 48 Hours Automobiles of Troyes 2024, whether they have driven or not, will meet at the Château de Menois. As in 2022, it is this group from the south of the city which will bring together the participants but also the various local clubs around the exhibition of vintage cars, but also a partner village and various activities for young and old.
Just before lunch, an auction will be organized, with classic cars on catalog, of course.
The afternoon will be punctuated by the Concours d’Élégance des 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes 2024, certified by the FFVE, divided into several classes, which will reward the most beautiful and most original vintage cars with ONE overall final winner.
To close the 48 Hours of Troyes 2024, we will be able to attend the Charity Raffle Draw with a “pleasure” car to win.
The Charity Rafle
The 48 Heures are once again offering a car to be won in a raffle. Once again, it’s a fun car, a convertible from the 90s that will be offered.
Raffle tickets will be available at the various events in which 48 Hours volunteers will participate and, obviously, in September.
This raffle is charitable. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to local associations for children.
