The 2000 48 Heures Automobiles de Troyes

In 2000, the 48h was saddened by the loss of Francis Meille, one of the founders of the event.

The programme begins on Friday, with participants in vintage cars being welcomed in Nogent-sur-Seine, Arcis-sur-Aube, Bar-sur-Aube and Aix-en-Othe. They then head for Troyes, where they are welcomed in Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.

On Saturday morning, a number of rallies take the crews through the surrounding countryside, before they return to the Boulevard Jules Guesde to take part in the Concours d’Elegance.

On Sunday, the cars are on display between the Museum of Modern Art and the Boulevard Jules Guesde. In the afternoon, a grand parade retraces the five great eras of locomotion through the ages.
